TEMPS D'IMAGES is a unique festival in Romania which reunites the performative arts and the image, a broad and interdisciplinary project. The festival is part of a European project which proposes to create communication links between artists from different artistical zones (performative arts - through theatre, dance - and visual arts) in order to create new artistical forms. At the core of its preocupations is the dialectical relationship between the scene and the filmed image.
The involved artists come from the ten countries which take part in the realisation of the European project: Belgium, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Hungary and Turkey. Thus, colaborations and international co-productions realised by the cultural institutions from the quoted countries are born (Halles de Schaerbeek, Belgium; Von Krahli Teater, Estonia; Ferme du Buisson, France; Tanzhaus.nrw, Germany; Romaeuropa, Italy; Duplacena, Portugal; Zamek Ujazdowski, Poland; ArtLink, Romania; Trafo, Hungary; Garajinstanbul, Turkey). The implicated cultural operators are organized in a cultural network with the same name as the project that unites them, TEMPS D'IMAGES (www.tempsdimages.org).
The main European co-producer is the ARTE channel. For Romania, the accomplishment of the project TEMPS D'IMAGES means developping and supporting a new type of performance which puts together artists from and with different artistic backgrounds, respectively theatre, dance and image.
